Henry Cejudo to McGregor: “You literally don’t have a leg to stand on”

Henry Cejudo and Conor McGregor got into it today on Twitter.

In the last few days, former UFC double champion McGregor has posted updates on his training following suffering a broken leg in his UFC 264 bout against Dustin Poirier.

On Sunday he posted this video stating “I’m gonna break a head with these.”

Today, he posted a similar video stating “Think of your straights as swards, and your hooks as hammers.”

A few hours later, former UFC double champion and Olympic gold medalist Cejudo chimed in with some advice “from the Goat.”

McGregor, who was clearly not looking for advice, replied by calling Cejudo a “fat novice” and a “bum.”

Cejudo quickly snapped to say “you literally don’t have a leg to stand on.”

The two have engaged in a few ‘twitter wars’ over the last month. In March, Cejudo gave some more unwelcomed advice to McGregor, telling him to “stay away from them yes men” and to “slow down.”

Since retiring, Cejudo has taken on the role of coach and has been extremely successful in doing so. Some of the fighters training under Cejudo include flyweight champion Deiveson Figueiredo, former strawweight champion Zhang Weili, “The Korean Zombie” Chan Sung Jung, Jiri Prochazka, and former light-heavyweight champion Jon Jones.

Come this Saturday, Cejudo is set to corner Chan Sung Jung for his title bout against featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski.

McGregor, who has been in recovery since July is hoping to make his return to the octagon in the summer of this year.

In the past, Cejudo has hinted at taking a fight at 155 lbs if the money was right, which might explain his recent interest in feuding with UFC’s biggest star McGregor.
