Ibrahim Kallie thankful for Maverick title shot against Mike DeLouisa
Ibrahim Kallie will step inside the Maverick MMA cage next month for the biggest test of his amateur mixed martial arts career thus far. With a record of 2-1 and both of his wins coming under the Maverick banner, Kallie will challenge organizational welterweight champion Michael DeLouisa for his title on September 22.
“I’m thankful for the opportunity to fight and show my skills,” Kallie said.
“I think this fight should be a really fair fight and entertaining. I love the huge progress I made since my recent fight, and I’m looking forward to win this title.”
The 21-year old Kallie defeated Justin Kosko at Maverick 4 and Joseph Cole at Maverick 6.
DeLouisa is currently undefeated at 5-0 and claimed the 170-pound strap at Maverick 1 where he defeated Timmy Tyler by arm-triangle choke.
