Impa Kasanganay looking to build and continue dominance in 2024 PFL season
Not many fighters can ride high momentum coming off a loss in their last performance, but if you ask Impa Kasanganay and those around him, his fight against Johnny Eblen wasn’t much of a loss. There was plenty of debate of Kasanganay’s decision loss to Eblen at the PFL-Bellator CHAMPS event which took place this past February. While fighters from the Bellator MMA roster had more success on the main card, including Eblen’s win, Kasanganay came away knowing that he can not only compete with the best in the world, but he himself should be considered one of the best fighters in the world.
Ahead of the 2024 PFL Light Heavyweight Regular Season kicking off on Friday, Kasanganay was a guest on the ‘On The Mic‘ podcast and spoke about how he plans to continue his dominance in 2024. When looking back at last year, he plans to not only continue his success, but to also do so while leaving the past in the dust and show an even better version of himself this year.
With his first fight of the season scheduled against Alex Polizzi, Impa Kasanganay opened up on his plans to be more dominant this year than previously, and in doing so, set himself to be in the conversation as one of the greatest, if not, the greatest, of all-time.
DOMINANCE.
Ahead of his #PFL fight tonight, @kingimpa discusses his plans to dominate this year’s season.
“Last year will pale in comparison to this year.”
What does long-term dominance look like? One of the greatest fighters ever.

“First round finishes. Dominate, impose my will from the get go, fight intelligently, trust my trainers. They say last year was the dominant year, it will pale in comparison to this one.”
Plans for dominance don’t start and end with just one fight for Kasanganay or just the 2024 season. He feels if he is able to go in and do what he expects, it will ultimately lead him to being in the conversation among the greats, a bar that he wants to set extremely high for the fighters that will follow him.
“Before that time even comes, they’ll be saying ‘That’s the best fighter in the world. It doesn’t matter what organization, doesn’t matter where he is, doesn’t matter what’s going on, he’s definitely the best fighter in history, right?’ Record aside, they don’t stress about the records, they just know that guy is the most dominant person you will ever see in a cage.”
Humbled in his approach, fueled by excellence, and plenty of success to his name, Impa Kasanganay is ready to take his game, his career, and his legacy to a whole new level starting with the 2024 PFL Regular Season.
