Isis Sio out of coma and back home after brutal knockout loss
Isis Sio, a 19-year-old boxer who was placed in a medically induced coma after a knockout loss to Jocelyn Camarillo on March 22, has been released from the hospital and is back home with family.
“We are deeply thankful for the overwhelming love, prayers, and support that have come from the boxing community, friends, fans, and people around the world,” Sio’s family told TMZ.
“The prayers lifted up during this time have meant everything to Isis and her family. God is great, and we truly believe He heard every single prayer that was said for her.”
Sio was competing in just her fourth career boxing match, entering the fight with a 1-2 record at the time.
