Lahat has a 14-4 record in MMA and has fought in the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) and Bellator.

In this historic fight, the 36-year-old fighter will come up against Sean Soriano of the US. When asked for his comments about this critical moment in his career, he said that he is proud. He also reiterated that he is raring to go and win even without fans’ support in the stands.

Lahat also said that he had been booed by fans previously in Berlin, so he is better placed to handle any such thing. The MMA fighter also expressed confidence in himself and believes that he will win. He is also encouraged by the fact that he will set foot in a place he wouldn’t have imagined he will visit and fly the Israeli flag there.

Lahat grew up in the Shomron. He was a paratrooper in the Israel Defense Forces. He was among the soldiers that fought on the Gaza Strip and the Second Lebanon War. He has been training in Mixed Martial Arts from the tender age of 4. When asked about his best move, he was quick to say the rear-naked choke.

He said he keeps his mind clear while in the ring to stay focused. He also said that his mission in every fight is to annihilate his opponent. To do this, Lahat says he has to stay focused, dismantle his challenger and get out. He also revealed that he prefers fights he can win as soon as possible. Nevertheless, he surprised many when he said his best fights are those that were bloodiest and longest.

So, who is Lahat?

Lahat was born on June 8, 1984, in Petach-Tikva, Israel, and his nickname is Neo. He is an Israeli MMA artist that competes in the Featherweight and Bellator MMA. He went pro in 2008 and was the second Israeli to fight in the UFC.

He has had a successful UFC career where he won two fights. However, he was released from the promotion after he was knocked unconscious by Diego Rivas.

His stint at Bellator MMA did not last long either. He signed a deal in 2016 but was released on November 30, 2018, despite triumphing over Brian Moore via a unanimous decision.

From there, his next order of business is to face Sean Soriano at the UAE Warriors 18 on March 20, 2021. This will be a historic fight that will see an Israeli flag flown in an Arab country.

The fighter is also a family man. His wife is Stephanie Lahat, they have two kids, and they live in San Jose, California.
