Jailton Almeida vs. Maxim Grishin off UFC Vegas 64, no opponent found for the Brazilian
Jailton Almeida will no longer be fighting Maxim Grishin on Saturday night at UFC Vegas 64.
According to MMAFighting, the fight between Grishin and Almeida was scratched due to undisclosed reasons. The Brazilian then took to social media to reveal it was on his opponent’s part.

“Man. We arrived in Vegas just now and I heard that my fight was cancelled. With 4 days left for the fight, we don’t know the reason why he didn’t come to the fight,” Almeida wrote on social media.
The hope for Almeida was to get a short-notice opponent, but unfortunately, he confirmed on social media the UFC did not find him an opponent.

Jailton Almeida (17-2) is 3-0 in the UFC and coming off first-round submission win over Anton Turkalj at UFC 279. Before that, submitted Parker Porter in his heavyweight debut. The Brazilian has bounced between light heavyweight and heavyweight while in his debut, he scored a first-round TKO win over Danilo Marques. He submitted Nasrudin Nasrudinov on the Contender Series to earn his way into the promotion.
Maxim Grishin (32-9-2) returned to the win column last time out with a decision win over William Knight. The Russian has been in the UFC since 2020 and is 2-2 with his other win over Gadzhimurad Antigulov with his losses coming to Dustin Jacoby and Marcin Tybura in his debut.
