Jairzinho Rozenstruik vs. Marcin Tybura booked for upcoming UFC Fight Night
An exciting heavyweight bout pitting top-10 ranked fighters Jairzinho Rozenstruik vs. Marcin Tybura is booked for an upcoming UFC Fight Night.
MMA reporter Marcel Dorff was the first to report this awesome Rozenstruik vs. Tybura fight, which will take place on February 26 on a UFC Fight Night card. This is not the main event of the evening, however. That would be a five-round lightweight bout between Beneil Dariush and Islam Makhachev. But Rozenstruik vs. Tybura could very well be set as the card’s co-main event.

Rozenstruik (12-3) is the No. 6 overall ranked heavyweight in the UFC. Rozenstruik had an up-and-down 2021, to say the least. He kicked off the year with an ugly decision loss to Ciryl Gane before bouncing back with a huge KO win over Augusto Sakai before losing another decision to Curtis Blaydes. Rozenstruik is a very talented heavyweight MMA fighter who punches and kicks extremely hard. However, he has been very inconsistent inside the Octagon at times. There are moments where you think Rozenstruik could be a UFC champion, but more often than not he can be a very frustrating fighter to watch compete given how he can sometimes ‘freeze up’ in his fights.
Tybura (22-7) is ranked at No. 9 overall in the UFC heavyweight rankings. In his last outing, he saw his five-fight winning streak snap when he was defeated by Alexander Volkov. That was a very disappointing performance by Tybura, who had looked to have turned a page in his UFC career, one that has also, like Rozenstruik, been marred with periods of inconsistency. At his best, Tybura is one of the top heavyweights in the world, but like Rozenstruik, there are too many fights he has where he disappoints and doesn’t live up to the expectations.
