James “Bubba” Mullens: “Whatever he wants to do, I’m ready to do!”
Full interview with James Mullens above.
This Saturday, April 2, Stellar Fights returns to their home/headquarters of the Delaware State Fairgrounds for an action-packed evening of amateur MMA.
With over a decade in the game, Stellar Fights has successfully helped build and launch the likes of many high-level professional fighters. Such fighters as UFC’s, Andre Petroski, Taylor Lutz, BKFC’s Peter Petties, and many more.
Stellar has remained a lasting name in the regional MMA circuit for a reason. Brad Dalton along with the Stellar Fights team and staff has a running legacy for treating fighters fairly and deservingly. A badge of honor that only a handful of regional promotions can truly claim.
Headlining Stellar Fights 49 matches a pair of absolute dogs on the mat but prefer to stand and bang. Crazy 88’s James “Bubba” Mullens will be defending his Stellar Fights Bantamweight strap against the gritty, hard-hitting, Wesley Russum.
Mullens has been riding the wave of success along with his teammates at Crazy 88. With training partners Matt “Semi the Jedi” Semelsberger, Lewis Bruton as well as himself coming up with recent wins, “Bubba” is taking in all of the good vibes he can from the training room.
Mullens won the Stellar Fights bantamweight title just a few months ago in January when he handed Eric Urgiles the first loss of his young career via TKO.
“I think I can stop anybody. I think I can stop him (Russum), Mullens confidently expresses. However, “If he’s tough enough to survive then we’ll go all five rounds,” Mullens says without hesitation. “Whatever he wants to do, I’m ready to do!”
Knowing he has his work cut out for him, “Bubba” is ready to take on anything and everything the tough, Russum has to bring his way in his first title defense going down this weekend, at Stellar Fights 49.
Tune in above to hear James “Bubba” Mullens delve into his first title defense as we discuss game planning, his opponents on Russum, what he does in his spare time, and how he thinks this bout will play out!
