Jessica Eye vs Andrea Lee in the works for UFC Fight Night on November 13
Former UFC flyweight title challenger Jessica Eye will look to break a losing streak later this Fall. According to Farah Hannoun of MMA Junkie, Eye will face Andrea “KGB” Lee on November 13, an event that is scheduled for a UFC Fight Night, although there is no location set for the event at this time.
Jessica Eye has lost three of her last four fights inside the Octagon but has shown toughness, heart, and grit in every single one of those fights. A fan favorite for her personality and fighting style, Eye challenged for the flyweight title back in 2019 and although she came up short in the fight, she continues to make it known that she will fight and work her way back up to title contention.
On the other end of the matchup is Andrea Lee, who is looking to put together a two-fight win streak after picking up her most recent victory over Antonia Shevchenko back at UFC 262 in May of this year. Lee’s victory over Shevchenko stopped a three-fight losing skid for Lee although two of those losses were split decisions that came against upcoming title challenger Lauren Murphy as well as Joanne Calderwood.
Another win for Lee would not only kick off her winning streak, but a win over a former title challenger like Jessica Eye would stand out in a flyweight division looking for more fresh contenders. With Lee ranked 11th in the division and Eye sitting at 8th in the division, the fight may not have a direct impact on the title picture, but it is equally important for both fighters looking to build momentum in their journey to a future title opportunity.
The UFC Fight Night event scheduled for November 13 currently has four fights scheduled for the card, including former men’s featherweight champion, Max Holloway. Here are the fights currently scheduled, although not at all have been announced by the promotion.
- Max Holloway vs Yair Rodriguez
- Philipe Lins vs Ovince St. Preux
- Lando Vannata vs Tucker Lutz
- Jessica Eye vs Andrea Lee
