Jimmy Smith hired by WWE as Monday Night Raw play-by-play announcer
Jimmy Smith heads to RAW
Former Bellator and UFC commentator Jimmy Smith is headed to the one of the biggest stages in the world of professional wrestling.
Smith will work as the lead play-by-play announcer on Monday Night Raw, alongside color analysts Corey Graves and Byron Saxton.
WWE made the announcement earlier today following an initial announcement from Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer.

Smith, a former professional mixed martial artist, worked for Bellator MMA for approximately seven years before moving over to the UFC, where he stayed for one year. Since then, Smith has used his talents for events with Invicta FC and Titan FC, as well as a radio show he hosts on Sirius XM.
Smith has been working the WWE through a pre-show panel at NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver. Last week, he was a talking head analyst in the Karrion Kross vs. Finn Balor segment on the NXT show, according to Meltzer.
Smith’s debut on WWE Raw will happen this Monday, May 31 at 8 p.m. ET on the USA Network.
