Joe Pyfer breaks punching record held by Francis Ngannou – Provides Video Proof

UFC commentator Joe Rogan said last week that UFC middleweight Joe Pyfer broke the punching record previously held by former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou.

That motherf*cker hits so hard,” Rogan said during a recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience “We should tell everybody that he broke Francis Ngannou’s record on that punch machine. They didn’t want to register it which is, I don’t understand why. Why didn’t they want to give it to him? The guy was saying like something was weird with the machine. [Pyfer] did it like three times! Three times in a row.”

Pyfer has now backed up that claim by presenting video evidence on the show.

“I don’t know what the confusion is so I’m gonna post it,” Pyfer said.

Known for his punching power, Ngannou was widely viewed as the most destructive pure puncher in the UFC’s heavyweight division. In 2017, he set the world record for the hardest punch ever recorded at 129,161 units.

“Francis is a guy who has the world record for the most powerful punch,” UFC CEO Dana White once said while Ngannou was still with is promotion. “His punches are equivalent to 96 horsepower. That’s equal to getting hit by a Ford Escort going as fast as it can, and it’s more powerful than a 12-pound sledgehammer from full-force overhead. Holy s***.”

Pyfer will headline his first UFC card on Feb. 10 when he meets Jack Hermansson in the main event.
