Jon Jones injured, UFC 295 main event against Stipe Miocic cancelled
With UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones injured, the November 11, UFC 295 main event bout against former champoin Stipe Miocic has been cancelled.
“Jon Jones was training last night, got injured, he was wrestling and he tore the tendon that connects your pec to the bone, off the bone,” White said in a video posted to X (formerly Twitter). “[Out] eight months, going to need surgery. He’s out.”

It was also announced that an interim heavyweight title bout between Sergei Pavlovich, who was already slated to be a backup for the UFC 295 fight card at Madison Square Garden, and Tom Aspinall has been added to the event. Miocic will be removed from the card in New York entirely.
The already slated co-main event Jiri Prochazka vs. Alex Pereira for the vacant light heavyweight title has been elevated to the main event with the interim heavyweight title bout recognized as the co-main.
