“Bones” Jones vacated the light heavyweight title in 2020 and then moved up to heavyweight where he challenged former interim champion Ciryl Gane for the vacant heavyweight strap after Francis Ngannou left the promotion.
Miocic dropped the title to Ngannou in March 2021 and hasn’t competed since. He holds the record for most UFC heavyweight title defenses at three.
