Jose ‘Shorty’ Torres Arrives In Russia Earlier Than Scheduled, Sets Up Camp In Dagestan

Jose “Shorty” Torres would no longer deal with the difficulties to acclimatize himself to the harsh weather condition of Russia during fight week as the highly-touted American spitfire chose to wrap up his training camp in Dagestan.

Torres is set to face Russian powerhouse Ali “The King Puncher” Bagautinov in the last semi final encounter of the Flyweight World Title Tournament, which will serve as the headliner of BRAVE CF 55 in association with PRO FC set for November 6 in the beautiful city of Rostov-on-Don, Russia.

The 29-year-old native of Chicago, Illinois arrived in Dagestan on October 13 and was welcomed by BRAVE CF Super Lightweight World Champion and KHK MMA Head Coach Eldar Eldarov.

Knowing what’s at stake in his upcoming bout, Torres immediately went to work with the athletes training under Eldarov’s tutelage at the world-class KHK Dagestan facility.

Torres, who captured belts in both the flyweight and bantamweight divisions of a North American promotion, seeks to become the first-ever BRAVE CF Flyweight World Champion. His ambitions however extend beyond a mere title, as Shorty recently revealed that he isn’t only going for one BRAVE CF title, but two.

To move an inch closer to that moment of glory and securing his first BRAVE CF title, “Shorty” has to overcome odds against a hometown hero in Bagautinov on November 6.

If he prevails, Jose ‘Shorty’ Torres will earn a seat in the tourney finals to square off Velimurad Alkhasov at a yet-to-be-announced future event.

BRAVE CF 55 will be broadcasted live and free on BRAVE CF TV (bravecftv.com) at 1:00PM GMT.
