Jules Bevis dies during charity boxing match in United Kingdom
Jules Bevis, who was in his 50s, died after becoming unwell during the event at the World Association of Wrestling (WAW) Academy and Performance Centre in the United Kingdom just before 3.50pm local time on Sunday (October 2).
The facility was hosting a charity boxing event set to raise money for a local four-year-old girl with cancer. Kayla Buttle suffers from neuroblastoma cancer, and her family are hoping to raise $185,000 to fund a trip to the United States for possible life-saving treatment.
Varying reports state that Bevis was either 55 or 56 years of age. He was the uncle to former WWE star Saraya-Jade “Paige” Bevis.
Paige, whose wrestling story was told in film ‘Fighting with My Family’ starring Florence Pugh and The Rock, said her uncle died in her brother Roy’s arms.
“Keep thinking about my uncle,” she wrote on Twitter. “What a wonderful human he was. Up until the end he had a heart of gold. He was doing a charity boxing match at my dads wrestling PC raising money for a little girl for her cancer treatments. In the ring he collapsed & past in my brother Roy’s arms 💔”

In another tweet Saraya wrote, “Man thank you everyone that is turning up to my dads gym and leaving flowers and notes. Uncle Jules was loved by many and although tragic it’s beautiful to see everyone come and pay their respects to man who died doing what he loved. Love you Jules ❤️”
