Justin Muslija Combat at the Capitale & Aggressive Combat Championships 20 Interview | CCMMA Podcast
Justin Muslija (3-1), a rising amateur prospect fighting out of Tiger Schulmann’s Karate in Ramsey, New Jersey, sits down with Carroll’s Corner MMA Podcast to speak about his two upcoming bouts with fight promotions, Combat at the Capitale and Aggressive Combat Championships 20. Combat at the Capitale is presented by Lou Neglia and Ray Longo, which features a mixed Pro Kickboxing, amateur kickboxing, and amateur MMA fight card. Muslija will fight Tristan Mizrahi of Unlimited MMA. It’s a featherweight matchup taking place at the Capitale in New York City on February 8, 2019. Muslija returns right to the cage on March 16, when he fights Sam Hoenig in a lightweight bout at Aggressive Combat Championships 20, which takes place at Westchester County Center.
The Tiger Schulmann’s product currently stands at 3-1 in his amateur career. Proving he’s capable of competing anywhere the geography of the fight takes him, Muslija captured all three victories via unanimous decision. Speaking with Muslija on Carroll’s Corner MMA Podcast, we discussed his training partners and how they influence his career. Training at Tiger Schulmann’s, the featherweight mixed martial artist is surrounded by several UFC fighters, including No. 5-ranked bantamweight and undefeated lightweight Michael “The Lone Wolf” Trizano. As the head instructor for Tiger Schulmann’s in Ramsey, New Jersey, Muslija receives a great deal of support from his family, teammates, and students.
We spoke about his goals of competing as often as possible in the year 2019. He believes it will keep him in the conversation for being called up to a Bellator and/or UFC fight card, in addition to preparing him for his eventual transition to the professional circuit. Muslija also spoke about cutting weight with the help of his fiance, a certified nutritionist, and fighting at lightweight vs. featherweight.
Muslija keeps active inside the cage and pushes the pace against his opponents. A skilled striker and former high school wrestler, he draws his confidence from his dedication to the gym and preparation with his teammates and coaches.
