Kayla Harrison set to face Ketlen Vieira at UFC 307
Former two-time PFL lightweight champion and no. 3 ranked UFC bantamweight contender Kayla Harrison (17-1) has her next bout lined up, and it’s not for the title, as she’s slated to face no. 2 ranked Ketlen Vieira (14-3) at UFC 307.
UFC 307 is to go down on October 5, 2024, live from the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Harrison made her UFC debut earlier this year at UFC 300, absolutely mauling former UFC bantamweight champion Holly Holm en route to her stoppage (rear naked choke) victory.
She also holds two notable victories over PFL featherweight and lightweight champion Larissa Pacheco, the only woman to ever defeat her, as well as Marina Makhnatkina.
Vieira on the other hand has spent over half of her career inside the octagon, debuting back in 2016 at just 6-0 and winning her first four fights inside the promotion, the most notable victories of which coming over former title challengers Sara McMann (arm-triangle choke) and Cat Zingano (SD).
The Brazilian has gone 3-1 over her latest four appearances, defeating former champions Miesha Tate (UD), Holly Holm (SD), losing to current champion Raquel Pennington (SD), and winning her most recent bout against Pannie Kianzad (UD).
Raquel Pennington is expected to defend her title at this event against former champion Julianna Pena, and it’s likely the winner of this fight will face the winner of that fight for the title.
