Kaytlin Neil eyes PFL contract; hoping to find new PFL Challenger Series opponent
Kaytlin Neil was all set for a huge opportunity in her career, but now she’s just hoping that the opportunity will still present itself.
Fresh off a win in Invicta FC, The Ultimate Fighter alum was booked to compete on the fifth week of the PFL Challenger Series on Feb. 24 in Orlando Fla. On the show, Neil would fight in front of three celebrity judges and if she were to win, she would have a chance to be selected for a PFL contract.
Neil learned about the fight just before she left for a family vacation as soon as she got from her vacation, she immediately packed up and drove from Utah to Las Vegas to train at Syndicate MMA.
Not long after starting her five-week training camp, Neil found out that her opponent pulled out of the fight making her appearance on the PFL Challenger Series in jeopardy.
As of right now, the PFL is working on finding Neil an opponent, but there is no guarantee that she will remain on the card. So right now, Neil has her fingers crossed that someone will answer the PFL call and accept the fight.
If it comes down to the worse option of Neil being pulled from the card, Neil will obviously be upset, but she has had great conversations with the PFL and believes that she should be able to fight in the PFL at some point during the year and then next year she’ll officially be on the roster with a chance to compete for the PFL playoffs and a chance to win a one million dollars.
Prior to the PFL Challenger Series show on Feb. 24, Neil spoke with MyMMANews about her goal of making the PFL, her hopes of being able to compete in a few weeks and her recent vacation.
