Korean Zombie is back and wants a fight with BJ Penn
We let you know just days ago that UFC featherweight, the Korean Zombie, Chan Sung Jung, was nearing the end of his required military service in South Korea.
So what else has Jung been up to in his three year absence from the UFC octagon?
Well, in a recent interview with Monsterzym, Jung states that he has been focusing on his family, and has his eyes set on a certain UFC fighter who too is looking to make a comeback.
Jung states, “For the past six months, there’s a fighter that I’ve been wanting to fight… BJ Penn.
“When the BJ Penn/Lamas fight was announced, I thought I missed my chance.
“But then I heard BJ Penn had a rib injury. So, I kind of felt that maybe it was an opportunity for me. It would be great timing if BJ Penn and I were ready to come back at the same time.
“Since he was a lightweight before, I never really thought about fighting him that much. But when he came down to featherweight, I would think that all of the fighters in the division would have liked to fight him.
“I’m one of them. Since I’m coming back and BJ is going to be coming back, I’d really like a chance to fight him.”
