Kristina Williams talks Invicta FC 48 win; wants title elimination fight next
Kristina Williams is on a great run in her professional career.
After a fast start to her career with wins over boxing champion Heather Hardy and current No. 14 ranked UFC strawweight Emily Ducote, Williams would go 1-3 in her next four fights.
While the record wasn’t the prettiest, Williams fought elite level competition early in her career as the losses came to UFC and Bellator title challenger Valerie Letourneau, former Bellator champion Juliana Velasquez and Bellator title challenger Denise Kielholtz.
Now following her departure from Bellator, Williams has been perfect as she’s now tallied three straight wins.
Most recently, Williams defeated Liana Pirosin at Invicta 48 in which she submitted Pirosin in the opening round with a rear naked choke to secure her first stoppage win since 2017.
Immediately after the win, Williams called for a title elimination fight and now she’s hoping to continue her winning ways and chase down an Invicta FC title.
Following her victory, Williams spoke with MyMMANews about her win, her short and long term goals, her friendship with former UFC fighter Sarah Alpar and having a recent training session with UFC legend Anderson Silva.
You can watch her full interview in the video above.
