Krzysztof Jotko gets a close unanimous decision win over clinch heavy Eryk Anders.

Heavyweights Alistair Overeem and Walt Harris headline the event at the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena. In the co-main event, Claudia Gadelha looks to stop Angela Hill’s three-fight win streak.
The card also features a middleweight bout between Eryk Anders and Krzysztof Jotko, who both come into the fight with a lot of similarities.
Anders, a former national champion football player at Alabama, is currently on a two-fight win streak. Anders would like to extend that streak to three, especially after hitting a rough streak from 2018 into mid 2019 in which he lost four of five fights. During the tough stretch, Anders suffered three straight losses.
Jotko, a native of Poland, finds himself in the same bout as Anders as he lost three in a row from 2017 to 2018. Also like Anders, he comes into the fight on two-fight winning streak.
Both men are also southpaws and have four career losses.
Here’s how their fight went down with a round-by-round breakdown of the fight.
Round 1
Feeling out process to start it off. Around 3:33 mark the two are clinched with Jotko against the cage. They didn’t stay there long and once they returned to the center of the octagon, Jotko lands a nice elbow. Anders goes to the clinch again and gets a brief take down at the midway point of the round. Jotko worked back to his feet, but took a nice shot from Anders in the process. Jotko appears smooth on the feet landing shots, but Anders clinches every chance he gets. Jotko goes to the clinch now with a minute left in the round and attempts a takedown. Anders would sprawl to his feet and land a nice shot. Real close opening round. Anders isn’t doing much in the clinch and Jotko is out striking him

Round 2
A few seconds into the round and Anders is bringing the action. Anderson charging forward in the opening minute, but not really landing anything. 3:15 mark and Anders is once again in the clinch. Jotko gets out of the clinch with 2:44 left in the round. Jotko getting busy with the hands, but as soon as he starts throwing, Anders goes to the clinch again. A little over a minute left in the round and yet again Anders is using his energy to clinch and attempt a takedown. Referee Herb Dean warns Jotko about grabbing the fence as the round comes to a close.

Round 3
Jotko’s corner is asking him to stay away from the fence, but Anders gets the fight into the clinch again and Jotko finds himself against the cage. Jotko stuffing the take down attempt and is outstripping Anders, so it’s going to be interesting to see what the judges are looking for. Anders comes forward at the 2:40 mark throwing a lot of punches, but not really landing. Jotko lands a stiff jab with 2:10 left in the final round. 2:00 to go and Anders again has the fight in the clinch against the cage. Jotko gets out of the clinch with a little over a minute to go. With 45 seconds to go, Anders is in the clinch again. Jotko is not happy and trash talking Anders.
