KSW 56 Results: Soldic dominates & Narkun retains
KSW 56 took place earlier tonight from Lodz, Poland. In the main event welterweight champion Roberto Soldic (18-3) stepped up to middleweight for the first time and dominated former champ & KSW legend Michal Materla (22-8), finishing him in the first round. Soldic brutalised Materla and dropped him a number of times until the referee was forced to call an end to the contest.
Tomasz Narkun (18-3) retained his light heavyweight crown and handed Ivan Erslan (9-1) the first defeat of his career. The long layoff for Narkun resulted in a slow start as Erslan landed the more significant strikes in the first round. However, the champion blasted back early in the second round knocking Erslan to the ground and then submitting him with a rear-naked choke.
Elsewhere on the card Filip ‘Nitro’ Pejic (15-4-2) scored a 12 second knockout win over Sebastian Rajewski (9-6), one of the fastest KO’s in KSW history, underdog Justyna Haba (3-1) scored an impressive decision win over Karolina Owczarz (3-1), and undefeated prospect Mateusz Legierski (7-0) made a winning start to his KSW career with a hard fought decision win over Francisco Barrio (7-2).
