Kyle Daukaus vs Phil Hawes clash added to UFC Fight Night: Sandhagen vs Dillashaw May 8th

Kyle Daukaus announced through his Instagram account that he will be facing Phil Hawes on May 8th at UFC Fight Night: Sandhagen vs Dillashaw.

Currently the fight is listed as the first bout on the main card.  Daukaus was slated to take on Alisakhab Khizriev on April 10th, but Khizriev had to withdraw due to Covid protocols.

Daukaus is 10-1 and fights out of Martinez BJJ in Northeast Philadelphia along with his brother Chris who is the 8th ranked heavyweight in the UFC.

Phil “Megatron” Hawes (10-2)  has a TKO and a majority decision win in his 2 fights in the UFC after earning his contract on The Contender Series.

This is an excellent match-up of two rising middleweights.   Daukaus has lots of cardio and will surely try to use that to his advantage as Hawes has 7 knockouts among his 10 victories.
