Lawyer Erik Magraken breaks down the latest with the UFC Anti-Trust Lawsuit

Interview with Erik Magraken below

Combat Sports regulatory lawyer Erik Magraken gives the latest update on the UFC anti-trust lawsuit. Erik also explains the origins of the lawsuit, some of the main arguments from the fighters and where this lawsuit could be headed after the trial date next year.

“I’d be surprised if the UFC, if they fail on their appeal, I can’t imagine them wanting to be in front of a jury. Because the jury could award four, five, six billion dollars. I think the fighters are looking for 1.6 billion. And the way anti-trust law works, if you can prove the injury, it can get tripled and that could be a big dollar figure. Risk number two is the injunction. The judge could … put in restrictions that are going to stop the UFC from having a stranglehold in the future.”
