Lion Fight CEO unleashes promotion’s plans for 2016

Scott Kent, CEO & President of Lion Fight, has revealed exciting plans for the promotion in 2016 including taking the show to the United Kingdom.

Starting in March, Lion Fight will team with England’s Muay Thai Grand Prix for a planned schedule of four events at The O2 in London.

“The events that Lion Fight has on AXS TV Fights already have a massive international presence and our upcoming partnership with Muay Thai Grand Prix will just further enhance that,” said Kent during his appearance on AXS TV’s Inside MMA on Friday night.

“It is our aim to share talent between Lion Fight and Muay Thai Grand Prix to that the fans of both promotions are able to see the most elite skilled fighters in the world. That plan starts right away at Lion Fight 27 with England’s Charlie Peters in the main event as he vies for the title against France’s Fabio Pinca.

“Muay Thai fans will be part of events featuring athletes from the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Holland, France, Thailand, Australia … wherever the top talent in the world is from, Lion Fight and Muay Thai Grand Prix will showcase them.”

In addition to the upcoming partnership with Muay Thai Grand Prix, Kent noted that Lion Fight will host four events at both Foxwoods Resort Casino and Pechanga Resort Casino in 2016. Two other dates are being discussed that would see Lion Fight return to Las Vegas for a second outdoor amphitheater event as well as debut in Milwaukee.

All of Lion Fight’s events in the United States will continue to be broadcast live on AXS TV Fights.

“Foxwoods and Pechanga continue to be exceptional partners and locations for Lion Fight events,” said Kent. “Having them onboard with us for 2016 allows Lion Fight to bring its events to both sides of the United States at superb venues.

“The outdoor event in Las Vegas was really remarkable and one of our favorite shows of 2015. Milwaukee has always been a great combat sports city and we are excited to be in the process of making a show happen there.”
