Loopy Godinez makes UFC history, first woman to win four fights in one calendar year
Loopy Godinez made UFC history tonight at UFC 295, becoming the first woman to win four fights inside a calendar year with the promotion.
With a split decision victory over Tabitha Ricci, Lupita (who goes by Loopy) picked up her fourth victory in 2023.
Godinez, 30, now has a professional mixed martial arts record of 12-3.
She kicked off the year with a split decision win over Cynthia Calvillo in April, followed by a unanimous decision win over Emily Ducote the following month. Godinez then defeated Elise Reed by rear-naked choke submission in September.
No other female fighter has ever earned more than three wins inside one year with the promotion.
