Loopy Godinez talks UFC Vegas 39 win & growing up in Mexico & Canada

Loopy Godinez is a savage and has been her whole life.

At age 14, Godinez and her family moved from Mexico to Canada. While in Canada, Godinez worked hard dirty jobs like cleaning toilets just to have money.

After years of hard work and grinding away, Godinez eventually found her talent as a professional fighter and worked her way into the biggest MMA promotion.

Now last weekend at UFC Vegas 39, she got to celebrate her first career UFC victory when she submitted Silvana Gomez Juarez in the opening round of their strawweight bout. The win was impressive enough to earn Godinez a Performance of the Night bonus of 50 thousand dollars. She was also apart of UFC history as the event marked the first time in the promotions history that all women received performance bonuses.

Following the win, Godinez flew to Georgia to visit her sister. While in the Peach State, Godinez talked with MyMMANews about her impressive performance, being apart of UFC history and working hard her whole life while growing up in Canada.

You can watch her full interview in the video above.
