Lucas Brennan Bellator 252 Pre-Fight Interview
Bellator 252 will host The Featherweight World Grand Prix closes out the quarter-final rounds with two five-round bouts. First up a rematch between Daniel Weichel and Emmanuel Sanchez, then the main event sees double champ Patricio ‘Pitbull’ Freire put his featherweight gold up for grabs against Pedro Carvalho.
Check out Lucas Brennan pre-fight interview above.
Lucas Brennan isn’t the only member of the Brennan to have competed at Mohegan Sun Arena. At UFC 35 in 2002, his father, Chris Brennan, fought his final UFC fight in this very venue. Chris lost to Gil Castillo by unanimous decision.
Brennan made his professional debut with the promotion on a single-fight contract at July’s Bellator 224, picking up a first-round submission win.
In his most recent bout at Bellator 244, Lucas Brennan defeated Will Smith by second-round TKO, punching the Brennan name into the win column at Mohegan Sun 18 years after the first failed attempt. Brennan is only 20 years old. But unlike most 20 year olds, Lucas is a professional mixed martial artist who holds a 3-0 record with three finishes to his record.
For featherweight Lucas Brennan, it’s been one thing after another that has kept him from fighting in 2020. After an early year fight was scrapped due to an injured opponent, Brennan’s 2020 debut was further derailed by the novel coronavirus. Lets hope he finally makes the walk to the Bellator cage this Thursday.
