Malcolm Gordon vs. Su Madaerji in the works for UFC’s Nov. 28 event
A flyweight bout between Malcolm Gordon and Su Madaerji is being targeted for UFC’s Nov. 28 event.
First reported by TSN, the event is still without a location.
Gordon is coming off a short-notice loss to Amir Albazi at UFC on ESPN+ 30 back in July. Gordon lost via first-round submission in Yas Island, Abu Dhabi.
The promotional-debut defeat ended a four-fight win streak for the former TKO champion. He captured the vacant TKO strap by finishing Jordan Graham via first-round submission at TKO 42 in March 2018. He defended his 125-pound title twice, submitting James Mancini and Yoni Sherbatov.
Mudaerji is more than a year removed from his last octagon appearance. He rebounded from his UFC-debut loss with a unanimous-decision nod against Andre Soukhamthath at UFC on ESPN+ 15 in August 2019.
He suffered a second-round submission loss to Louis Smolka in his promotional debut at UFC Fight Night 141 in November 2018.
