Marina Mokhnatkina vs. Jessica Borga removed from Bellator 254
Marina Mokhnatkina and Jessica Borga will not be fighting at Bellator 254 on Dec. 10.
This morning the featherweight bout was removed from the event on the official Bellator MMA website. Following the removal, Bellator officials confirmed to MyMMANews that fight is officially off. There is no word at this time as to whether or not the fight will be rebooked.
Both Moknatkina (4-2) and Borga (3-2) would have been making their first appearances of 2020 on the preliminary card of Bellator 254.
Mokhnatkina, 32, of Russia, made her Bellator debut at Bellator 219, where she lost to Janay Harding by unanimous decision.
Borga, 30, also made her Bellator debut last year at Bellator 226. Her promotional debut went better than Mokhnatkina’s as Borga picked up a first-round submission win over Amber Leibrock.
Bellator 254 will take place from the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn and the main event will feature a women’s flyweight title fight between Ilima-Lei Macfarlane and Julianna Velasquez.. The fight card now official has nine bouts taking place after the removal of Moknatkina and Broga.
