Mate Sanikidze (8-2) discusses his featherweight title fight against Jakub Tichota (5-0) at Oktagon 37 on Dec. 3. Mate also spoke about recently becoming a father for the first time, how winning the belt could lead to a UFC contract and UFC bantamweight Merab Dvalishvili saying he’s the next big MMA star to come out of Georgia.
“It means the world for me, to see such a fighter talk about me like that. It’s a huge responsibility for me. The fighter like Merab Dvalishvili – who is one of the best in the world – has an interest in me. He sees my potential. That’s a feeling like … I’m not just fighting for me, but I’m for my Georgian people. I’ll will do my best to achieve these words.”
