Matt Frevola vs. Roosevelt Roberts rebooked for Sept. 12 UFC’s event
A lightweight bout between Matt Frevola and Roosevelt Roberts is being rebooked.
After their scheduled April 25 bout was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the pair is set to clash at UFC’s Sept. 12 event. First reported by MMA DNA, the bout was expected to take place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Matt Frevola is coming off two-consecutive decision wins against Luis Pena and Jalin Turner in 2019. He was slated to fight Frank Camacho at UFC on ESPN 11 on June 20, but Frevola was removed from the card after his cornerman and fellow UFC fighter, Billy Quarantillo tested positive for the coronavirus.
Roosevelt Roberts two-fight win streak came to a halt after losing to Jim Miller via first-round submission at UFC on ESPN 11. The loss came just weeks after he defeated Brok Weaver via second-round submission at UFC on ESPN 9 on May 30.
He previously beat Alexander Yakovlev by unanimous decision at UFC on ESPN+ 21 this past November.
