Matt Lozano returns to Bellator MMA, faces Dominic Mazzotta at Penn State

Matt “SMG” Lozano will return to the Bellator MMA cage when he takes on Dominic Mazzotta at Bellator 186. The event takes place November 3 at the Bryce Jordan Center on the Penn State University campus.
The fight is currently listed on the Bellator MMA website as a featherweight contest however sources close to MyMMANews tell us the bout is actually scheduled for the lighter 135-pound threshold of bantamweight.
Mazzotta is coming off a Bellator 178 head kick knockout loss to A.J. McKee. The “Honey Badger” will bring a 12-2 pro record into the cage when he takes on “SMG”.
Lozano (8-5) returns to the Bellator stage for the first time since Bellator 83 in December 2012. He is the won the World Cagefighting Championships flyweight title in August 2016. He later moved to Cage Fury Fighting Championships where he fell short in an interim title fight against “Shorty Rock” Sean Santella. In April, Lozano lost his second fight in a row, a loss to Rico DiSciullo at CES 43.
In the main event of Bellator 186, newly crowned light heavyweight champion Ryan “Darth” Bader (23-5) will make his first title defense against British sensation Linton “The Swarm” Vassell (18-5, 1 NC).
A variety of other regional mixed martial artists will come together at Penn State at Xtreme Caged Combat President, Ryan Kerwin helps build the undercard for Bellator 186.
