Michael “Venom” Page vying for Leon Edwards in the UK
Michael “Venom” Page has a tough UFC debut in Kevin Holland. But he’s got his eyes in a much larger prize. In an interview with UFC Europe, Page sounded off on what a potential UK vs. UK title fight between he and Leon Edwards would mean for the British faithful.
MVP ain’t got time to waste. But I won’t say he deserves a title shot after beating Kevin Holland lol pic.twitter.com/c0zzaKQ6pb

Michael “Venom” Page vs. Leon Edwards next?
Michael “Venom” Page is currently set to face Kevin Holland next month at UFC 299. But to him, that’s just a means to an end. He and Edwards have a cordial relationship and Page is quick to point that out first.
“It’s not really just the fight,” Page tells UFC Europe. “It’s more about the occasion that it does. And this is Leon Edwards, and I’m cool with him. There’s no bad blood there.”
But Page cannot deny the creature that both he and Leon Edwards are: prize fighters. The thought of bringing such a mega fight to the UK fans in the UK would be all that he asks for.
”Like I said, we’re prize fighters at the end of the day. But we also spoke about what’s happening in the UK and for the UK right now. I can already see me, Leon Edwards, in a stadium in the UK. And regardless of what happens on that day, the belt stays with the UK.”
Again, Kevin Holland is just a means to an end and Michael “Venom” Page sees this as the first step in a few short hops to his goal of he vs. Edwards in the UK.
”That excites me and more so, not even myself, but for what is going to happen for the UK. That’s what I really care about past Holland.”
Page has Holland to deal with first, however. I’m just over a month, he will get his first chance at a UFC win after a lengthy stay in Bellator that often broke through the static.
