Michel Pereira runs through Andre Petroski in middleweight debut at UFC Vegas 81
The Ultimate Fighting Championship returns to us tonight, October 14, 2023, for UFC Vegas 81, going down live from the UFC Apex in Enterprise, Nevada.
Headlining the event is a featherweight bout between no. 11 ranked Sodiq Yusuff (13-2) and no. 13 ranked Edson Barboza (23-11).
Co-headlining the event is a flyweight bout between no. 9 ranked former title challenger Jennifer Maia (21-9-1) and no. 11 ranked Viviane Araujo (11-5).
Our second fight on the main card tonight came in the middleweight division between Michel Pereira (29-11) and Andre Petroski (10-2).
Pereira made his 185 lb debut tonight, coming in on a five-fight win streak, while Petroski’s win streak also included five-straight victories, all inside the UFC octagon.

Official Result: Michel Pereira def. Andre Petroski via TKO (punches) at 1:06 of round one
Pereira lands a heavy right cross about one minute into the opening round, dropping Petroski on the spot. Pereira then unloads on Petroski, who shifts from his back to his side as he continues eating punches, much like Grant Dawson did against Bobby Green in last weekend’s main event, forcing the referee to stop the action.
Michel Pereira improves his win streak to six-straight tonight at UFC Vegas 81, handing Andre Petroski his very first UFC defeat. Pereira was always a massive welterweight, and with a big win like this he might be a real contender at 185 lbs.
