Mickey Gall vs. Diego Sanchez added to UFC 235
A welterweight bout between Mickey Gall and Diego Sanchez has been added to UFC 235 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The March 2, 2019 fight pairs one of the organization’s newest rising stars against the original Ultimate Fighter winner in Sanchez.
Gall, who garnered the attention of UFC President Dana White while filming ‘Dana White: Lookin’ For a Fight’ back in 2015, won his first three UFC fights all by way of rear-naked choke. The Gracie New Jersey jiu-jitsu ace submitted Mike Jackson, CM Punk, and Sage Northcutt, before being stopped by Randy Brown at UFC 217. Gall bounced by with another submission win over George Sullivan in his last outing. He is well-known for calling his fights, and has been aiming to get a fight with Sanchez booked now for quite some time.
Gall was also recently looking for a scrap against ‘Platinum’ Mike Perry.
Sanchez, one of the organization’s most tenured fighters, began his UFC card in 2004 at the start of the Ultimate Fighter. He won the season with a win over Kenny Florian at the Finale in 2005. Sanchez is coming off a unanimous decision win over Craig White in September.
Tickets for UFC 235 go on sale January 11.
