Misha Cirkunov (13-2) has been paired against Volkan Oezdemir (13-1) at the Ericsson Globe in Stockholm, Sweden, May 28.
The light heavyweight matchup announcment comes just weeks after a public contract dispute with the UFC.
“Following his last win over Nikita Krylov last December, Cirkunov got locked into a tense negotiation with the UFC over a new deal and it appeared for a moment that he might hit the free agency market instead of returning to the Octagon.”
Cirkunov has finished all four of his UFC fights via TKO or submission.
Oezdemir is 1-0 since coming to the UFC. He earned a split decision win over Ovince St. Preux in February.
In the UFC Fight Night main event, which airs live on FS1, Alexander Gustafsson faces off with Glover Teixeira in a clash of light heavyweight contenders. Tickets go on sale on March 31.
