MMA TV UK reports lockdown surge in views
The home of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) in the UK has recorded a 50% increase in views of premium content across all platforms over the last three months.
There were more than 4.25 million streams of world class fights across MMA TV’s pay per view, subscription, YouTube and social media channels between the beginning of April and the end of June. Live events started up again last month in Abu Dhabi and Russia as Covid-19 rates receded.
A groundbreaking deal has just been reached with Mobile Billing so fans can access MMA TV fights in the easiest possible way: by pushing a single button on their phone and being charged by their mobile provider. The channel’s surge in popularity has also resulted in an agreement with Samsung TV whereby those who own recent Samsung sets can view MMA TV content at their leisure.
Siju Roseje, founder of MMA TV and Mogul Management, commented: “The recent deals we’ve signed are significant and illustrate the growing popularity of our sport as consumers increasingly turn to digital platforms. After such a long pause, it’s exciting to be promoting keenly anticipated fights again between some of the biggest names in MMA to reward our loyal supporters and newly acquired fans.”
Siju Roseje launched MMA TV to provide a platform for the top MMA talent he represents to showcase their skills and attract investment and promotional partners to themselves and the industry. The channel’s monthly subscription option was launched in March 2020 and the premium live content has helped attract the likes of Mobile Billing and Samsung to the arena.
The BFC returns to Russia on July 23 then on July 31 reigning Featherweight Champion Do Gyeom Lee will take on challenger Alexandru Chitoran in the live UAE Warriors 12 event in Abu Dhabi. On September 5, Probellum 2, an exclusive behind closed doors event staged in the UK, will feature some of the biggest names in MMA including UFC veteran Paul Kelly.
