MyMMArijuanaChronicles ft. AT McCowin: “You almost got a life hack” with cannabis

Professional middleweight fighter, AT McCowin has a drive and undying passion for the sport of MMA that has lasted longer than his signature dread locks. Truly a student of the game, McCowin is always exploring new ways to improve his overall game to become the best version of himself he can put forward inside of the cage. With zero fear in his heart, McCowin has taken fights in the light heavyweight division as well as the heavyweight division before shedding down to a more natural weigh class.

Coming off of a win at Ring of Combat 74 over Chris Alcala, McCowin was returning after a lengthy layoff. On top of the time off, McCowin was making his middleweight debut. Making sacrifices in his diet and social life for a greater cause of his professional career. Throughout the matchup, McCowin’s striking was the polarizing key to victory. Beating his opponent in the standup department and nullifying any chance at the fight hitting the mat for an extended period of time. The hard work continues to pay off for McCowan as he was recently promoted to a BJJ brown belt from his home gym of 302 BJJ.

In his down time, McCowin takes a few hours at a local dispensary for a little extra income but also with a long-term goal in mind. With the cannabis business booming, plentifully, McCowin plans to get involved in the industry in some facet, eventually-in his post fighting career. Also, a medical cannabis patient, McCowin utilizes the plant for recovery and rest just like most fighters, however, isn’t shy in stating, “I just like being high,” he says with a laugh.

Tune in above to delve into the mind of professional middleweight fighter, AT McCowin as he joins me in studio to talk all things cannabis, his pro career, as well as touches on when he plans on getting back into the cage on this edition of MyMMArijuanaChronicles!
