Nate Diaz hints at UFC return in November or December

UFC welterweight fan favorite Nate Diaz hinted at a UFC return in November or December in a recent post on his social media.

Diaz most recently fought Leon Edwards at UFC 263 in June, losing a unanimous decision in a fight where he rocked Edwards in the fifth round and nearly came back to win. Since the fight with Edwards, Diaz has been connected to matchups with several fighters in the UFC lightweight and welterweight divisions, including Dustin Poirier, Conor McGregor, and Vicente Luque. It appears that we now have a potential date for Diaz’s return to the Octagon as the Stockton native hinted that he could return to the cage in November or December.

Taking to his Instagram this week, Diaz wrote: “November December” with a picture of him in headgear.

Diaz has been interested in a fight against top-five ranked Luque, who is coming off of back-to-back submission wins over Tyron Woodley and Michael Chiesa. Following those wins, Luque called out Diaz for a fight, and while Diaz didn’t appear to be interested at first, he took to his social media this week to post a video of his rival, which indicates that he could be more interested in fighting “The Silent Assassin” than he was before.

Regardless of who Diaz fights, his return to the Octagon is going to be a big deal. Anytime that Diaz steps into the Octagon it’s always a fan-friendly fight. Even though he lost a decision to Edwards back in June, the fifth round of that fight showed off some of Diaz’s best attributes, which are his cardio, toughness, and boxing. If he is able to carry that momentum forward, perhaps Diaz can beat a top contender and make a title run at 170.

Who do you think Nate Diaz will fight in his return to the Octagon?
