NetFlix subscription price increased ahead of Rousey vs. Carano

You knew it was too good to be true.  How could NetFlix put on a massive mixed martial arts supercard with former UFC stars Ronda Rousey, Nate Diaz, Mike Perry, Francis Ngannou and Junior dos Santos without raising their subscription price?

Well, they are.

The new subscription price for a standard account with ads has increased from $7.99 to $8.99 per month. The standard plan with no ads increased from $17.99 to $19.99 per month. The premium plan, which allows four users among other benefits, moves from $24.99 to $26.99 per month.

The new NetFlix rates are locked in ahead of Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions fight card headlined by the return of Ronda Rousey and Gina Carano on May 16.  The event will be the first ever live-streamed MMA fight card on NetFlix.
