The option to re-sign with ONE is evidently still there. But there are tons of intriguing options for the Dutch warrior.
Kickboxing would seem to be the obvious lane for the decorated legend of the combative craft.
He is 0-2 against the reigning lightweight kickboxing champion in ONE, Regian Eersel. Holzken returned to the kickboxing win column via first-round liver shot KO to Elliot Compton in their December bout for ONE Championship.
Perhaps embarking on a third crack at Eersel (Holzken is ranked #1 in the lightweight kickboxing division) and that ONE crown leads to his re-signing.
Nieky Holzken won't stop till he gets that lightweight kickboxing strap! 😤 @niekyholzken @tntdrama @BleacherReport @BR_MMA @brlive #WeAreONE #ONEChampionship #ONEonTNT3 pic.twitter.com/oWAWRW0new

Muay Thai options also exist for Nieky Hozken who is a multi-time European champion in the discipline. Also, his last prizefight under the ONE banner was a Muay Thai contest, albeit one with four-ounce gloves on the combatants.
Holzken’s pro boxing acumen is quite impressive as well. He boasts a record of 14-1 overall with eleven stoppages. Nieky Holzken fought Callum Smith for the WBC Diamond super middleweight world title. Holzken fought Smith on less than a week’s notice and the last fight Callum Smith had was against Canelo Alvarez.
Holzken has collected some Queenserry rules hardware on the Netherlands regional scene. When we spoke to each other, Holzken also noted an interest in a hybrid bout whereby he could partake in caged boxing.
Nieky Holzken ends ONE Championship contract
The former Glory welterweight world champion holds notable victories over some of the most noteworthy kickboxers of this generation. Holzken has bested Murthel Groenhart, Raymond Daniels, Davit Kiria, Joseph Valtellini, Cosmo Alexandre, and Cyrus Washington to name a few.
His last contest with ONE Championship saw him finish Australian legend John Wayne Parr. This came via second-round head kick during their Muay Thai bout at ONE on TNT III on April 21st.
