Oleksandr Usyk and Dereck Chisora FINALLY Set to Box October 31st
Oleksandr Usyk and Dereck Chisora finally have a date to tango. The two have gone back and forth on social media for months now. Matchroom Boxing has set Halloween, October 31st, for the two heavyweights to collide. While there is no venue set yet, the fight will take place in the home country of Dereck Chisora.
Chisora is one of the best heavyweights in all of boxing. With a 32-9 record and 23 knockouts, Chisora has fought all of the best. He has been in the ring with Tyson Fury, Vitali Klitschko, David Haye, Kubrat Pulev, Dillian Whyte, Artur Szpilka and David Price. Chisora looks to slow down and stop Usky’s dream of unifying his second division.
Oleksandr Usyk has been invincible. At just 17-0 (13 knockouts) he successfully unified the cruiserweight division. In his conquest of the division, he defeated Krzysztof Glowacki, Mairis Briedis, Tony Bellew, and Murat Gassiev. Usyk then announced he planned to do the same at heavyweight. He made his debut last October and defeated Chazz Witherspoon after Tyrone Sprong pulled out of the fight. Usyk has been angling for the Chisora fight for some time and he will finally get the shot at the Brit.
Oleksandr Usyk and Dereck Chisora
As mentioned earlier, Oleksandr Usyk and Dereck Chisora have been going back and forth on social media, albeit, not how one would think. In a world where trash talk reigns supreme, Usyk and Chisora have had a more wholesome approach. Usyk’s “callouts” of Chisora have been Usyk calling Dereck’s name just to tell him hello. Chisora finally responded, asking about the wellbeing of Usyk as well. See it for yourself below:
