ONE: Fists of Fury Results (Ilias Ennahachi retains, Victoria Lee wins debut)

ONE Championship put on another quality show and here is your ONE: Fists of Fury Results. The explosive card featured six intriguing mixed martial arts, kickboxing, and Muay Thai contests.

In the main event, reigning ONE Flyweight Kickboxing World Champion Ilias Ennahachi maintained his hold on the gold. He bested #2-ranked contender Superlek Kiatmoo9. Ennahachi utilized movement and thoughtful counters to stifle Superlek early. The challenger appeared flat-footed and a step behind Ennahachi the bulk of the round. The defending champion made a focused effort to keep him on the backfoot.

Superlek, a multiple-time Muay Thai World Champion, started to find a home for his kicks as the fight went on. But Ennahachi largely lead the proverbial dance. After five rounds, all three judges awarded the prizefight to Ennahachi.

ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Grand Prix Champion and current #1-ranked featherweight kickboxer Giorgio Petrosyan turned in a masterful performance once again. He methodically picked apart former foe Davit Kiria over the course of three rounds. Petrosyan once again demonstrated the surgical precision in his striking. He dissected Kiria with varied boxing combinations and a thudding left kick to the body.

As Petrosyan became locked in his rhythm, he began to time Kiria with slick counters. Kiria was doggedly trying to turn the tide of the bout. But Petrosyan came out with the clear-cut unanimous decision victory.

ONE: Fists of Fury

Reigning ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon made a successful kickboxing debut for ONE Super Series. He notched the victory over Tagir Khalilov after three hotly contested rounds.

While Rodtang applied the pressure, Khalilov looked to land clean enough shots to ward off the encroaching legend. This back and forth was largely the story of the fight. Rodtang eventually gutted out the hard-fought split decision victory.

#3-ranked kickboxing contender Hiroki Akimoto scored his second straight victory over the #4-ranked contender Zhang Chenglong. Akimoto got off to a fast start in this rematch. He was pushing the pace with his powerful striking combinations and ripped various level-changing punches.

Zhang turned things up in the second frame and seemingly had a sense of urgency as the fight progressed. Akimoto largely landed the more accurate strikes in the final frame though. Akimoto secured the unanimous decision distinction as all three judges saw him winning the affair.

Buntan upset and Lee’s successful debut

Jackie Buntan impressed in her ONE Super Series debut with an upset victory over rising star Wondergirl Fairtex. Buntan showcased speed and technique in a fast-paced, high-frequency attack. In the first frame, a left hook dropped Wondergirl and sent her careening to the mat face first.

Buntan continued to touch up Wondergirl repeatedly with precise boxing combinations. Jackie Buntan prioritized the bodywork more as the fight went on and chipped away at her opponent’s gas tank. It came as no surprise that Buntan garnered the unanimous decision win when the fight wrapped up.

Heavily ballyhooed 16-year-old prospect The Prodigy Victoria Lee became 1-0 as a professional mixed martial artist. She dominated Sunisa Srisen before closing out the bout in the second stanza. Lee was aggressive early and put the pressure on Srisen right away in the first frame.

It didn’t take long before Lee took things to the ground and rapidly maneuvered to the back. From here, she began working for a rear-naked choke with Srisen gutting it out until the round’s end. After making some adjustments, Lee took things to the mat in round two and secured the submission relatively soon therafter.
