ONE on TNT III Interviews (McLaren, Wakamatsu, Parr, Holzken)
ONE Championship athletes Reece McLaren, Yuya Wakamatsu, John Wayne Parr, and Nieky Holzken took part in Q&A sessions ahead of the ballyhooed event ONE on TNT III. This is a previously recorded card that took place at Singapore Indoor Stadium and it broadcasts Wednesday, April 21st.
McLaren is positioned as the number five flyweight contender while Wakamatsu is situated at number four. The two martial artists will test skills and see who progresses upward in the divisional rankings.
McLaren talked about how hiring a strength and conditioning coach has further informed his training methodology, his thoughts on Wakamatsu as a competitor, the advantages McLaren has in this upcoming prizefight, and a return to bantamweight to settle some “unfinished business” with Bibiano Fernandes.
Conversely, Wakamatsu talked about his mindset throughout fight week, McLaren’s grappling proficiency and what openings Wakamatsu sees in this bout, and what the perceived deciding factor of this fight will be.

In a contest that is understandably receiving the “dream fight” tag by many, the legendary John Wayne Parr makes his ONE Super Series debut opposite kickboxing icon Nieky Holzken inside the ONE Circle.
Parr talked about mounting a comeback as well as what motivates him at this juncture in his journey, his history with caged Muay Thai long before ONE did it, and his overall breakdown on Holzken as an opponent.
On the other side of this legendary matchup, Holzken talked about the quick turnaround for this bout, his recent business endeavors in the nutrition field, and his pugilistic perceptions regarding the icon John Wayne Parr.
