Ovince Saint Preux gets third opponent at UFC 282 after Alexander Gustafsson and Philipe Lins both pull out
Ovince Saint Preux is on his third opponent for UFC 282.
Saint Preux was supposed to face Alexander Gustafsson but the Swede was forced to pull out of the fight due to an injury. The former title challenger was replaced by Philipe Lins who withdrew due to undisclosed reasons. Now, Saint Preux took to his OnlyFans page to announce he is facing Antonio Trocoli at UFC 282 on December 10 in Las Vegas. The event will be headlined by a vacant light heavyweight title fight between Jan Blachowicz and Magomed Ankalaev.
Ovince Saint Preux (26-16) returned to the win column back in May as he beat Shogun Rua by split decision. The win snapped his two-fight losing skid as he suffered a KO loss to Tanner Boser in his return to heavyweight – which was once again a one-off – and a TKO loss to Jamahal Hill.
Saint Preux has been in the UFC since 2013 and holds a record of 14-11 in the promotion. In his UFC career, he holds notable wins over Corey Anderson, Tyson Pedro, Nikita Krylov, and Gian Villante among others.
Antonio Trocoli (12-3) fought on the Contender Series in 2019 and scored a first-round submission over Kenneth Bergh and was given a contract. Yet, it was later revealed he tested positive for a banned substance and was suspended and released. The fight was also overturned to a No Contest. He then returned in November of 2021 – over two years later – and scored a submission win on the Brazil regional scene.
With the addition of Saint Preux vs. Trocoli, UFC 282 is now as follows:
