Pat Sabatini gets UFC call up, meets Rafael Alves on Feb. 20
The two-time Cage Fury Fighting Championships featherweight king Pat Sabatini is headed to the UFC.
Sabatini replaces Mike Trizano out against Rafael Alves to face Rafael Alves at UFC Fight Night 185 at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada on Feb. 20. MMA Junkie was the first to report the newest addition to the UFC’s roster.
Sabatini most recently reclaimed the CFFC 145-pound strap by finishing Jesse Stirn via second-round submission at CFFC 91 this past December.
He is the winner of five of his last six bouts. The only loss 46-second technical-submission defeat where he suffered a gruesome arm injury against James Gonzalez at CFFC 81 in February 2020.
Sabtini bounced back with back-to-back victories to cap off the year. He starts off 2021 with his first octagon appearance. He joins the likes of former CFFC champions Paul Felder, Aljamain Sterling and Sean Brady, who all made it to the octagon.
Alves is set to make his UFC debut after submitting Alejando Flores on Dana White’s Contender Series this past August, The MMA Master product is currently on a five-fight win streak, including three finishes.
