PFL 5 weigh-in results
The Professional Fighters League begins the continues the second half of the 2023 Regular Season with PF 5 or PFL ATL: Heavyweight & Women’s Featherweight. In the main event, 2022 PFL Heavyweight Champion Ante “Walking Trouble” Delija of Croatia takes on Maurice “The Crochet Boss” Greene of the United States in a Heavyweight bout with major PFL Playoffs implications.
Delija, making his 2023 PFL Regular Season debut, weighed in at 251.0-pounds. Delija has a tall task ahead of him though, as he’ll need to stoppage victory to remain in the playoff picture. Greene, meanwhile, weighed in at 255.4-pounds as he looks to earn a trip to the PFL Playoffs in his first season. Greene will clinch his spot in the postseason with a win of any kind.
In the co-main event, 2022 PFL World Champion Larissa Pacheco of Brazil takes on impressive newcomer Amber “Touch ‘Em Up” Leibrock. Pacheco came in at 145.6-pounds. After stunning Kayla Harrison to win the PFL Women’s Lightweight title in 2022, Pacheco is looking to add the PFL Women’s Featherweight crown in 2023. Leibrock, meanwhile, weighed in at 145.8-pounds and is currently sitting atop of the Women’s Featherweight standings following her scintillating first-round KO win earlier this season. A win secures Leibrock a spot in the postseason, while a first-round finish ensures her place as the top-seeded women’s 145-pounder.
In other action, hard-hitting Brazilian heavyweights go head-to-head, as Renan “Problema” Ferreira faces Matheus “Buffa” Scheffel. Ferreira, who weighed in at 259.0-pounds, aims to return to the postseason following last season’s semi finals run. A stoppage win in any round sends “Problema” back to the playoffs. Scheffel, meanwhile, weighed in at 260.6-pounds, and also needs a stoppage victory to earn a spot in the playoffs. Scheffel finished as runner-up last season and is eyeing another PFL Finals berth.
Also on the card, Women’s Featherweight newcomers Aspen Ladd of the United States and Karolina Sobek of Poland find themselves in win-or-go-home situations. Ladd, who weighed in at 145.0-pounds, was one of the PFL’s highly-touted signings prior to the 2023 Season. Sobek, meanwhile, weighed in at 145.6-pounds. Both Ladd and Sobek need to win, and win impressively, to remain in the PFL Playoff picture.
Kicking off the ESPN card, amateur sensation Biaggio Ali Walsh meets Travell “Dolo” Miller in a Lightweight amateur showcase bout. Ali Walsh, who weighed in at 155.6-pounds, the grandson of boxing legend Muhammad Ali, is currently 2-0 in the PFL as he looks to continue his rise before eventually turning pro.
