Phil Davis full Bellator 245 post-fight press conference
Phil Davis completed the sweep by earning a split-decision victory against Lyoto Machida in the rematch at Bellator 245 tonight, Friday, Sept. 11.
Davis brought the pressure in round sone and two and managed to hold on after Machida rebounded in the third at the Mohegun Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT. Davis was the faster of the two, getting the better of the Brazilian on the feet.
Davis found a home for the teep kick, which he used to earn a unanimous-decision win against Machida at UFC 163 in August 2013.
Davis is interested in another rematch with current champion Vadim Nemkov. Nemkov beat Davis via split decision at Bellator 209 in November 2018.
