Rachael Ostovich returns from USADA suspension, meets Gina Manzany at Nov. 28 UFC event
Rachael Ostovich is back
Rachael Ostovich will return from a year-long U.S. Anti-Doping Agency suspension to fight Gina Manzany at UFC’s Nov. 28 event.
First reported by MMA Junkie, the location of the event will be announced at a later date. Once we have that information, we will pass it along.
Ostovich’s suspension ended early, earning four-month credit after serving time during a provisional suspension issued by USADA in 2019. According to reports, the agency said she was eligible to return on Aug. 3.
She is coming off two-straight submission losses to Paige VanZant and Montana De La Rosa. A member of season 26 of “The Ultimate Fighter,” Ostovich earned a first-round submission win against Karine Gevorgyan in her UFC debut on the show’s finale in December 2017.
She earned a first-round submission over Melinda Fabian in the opening round of TUF 26. She then dropped a unanimous-decision loss to Barb Honchak in the quarterfinals.
Manazany’s return to the UFC was spoiled by a first-round TKO defeat to Julia Avila at UFC on ESPN 10 this past June. She was released by the UFC in 2019 after back-to-back losses, but rebounded with a first-round TKO win against Valerie Barney at KOTC: Golden Fights in January.
